Did you know Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the leading cause of death among children one month to one year old across all developed nations? October is SIDS Awareness Month, so starting this month the Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital and the American SIDS Institute are partnering together in a nationwide campaign to raise funds and awareness for SIDS... and the best part? YOU can help!

What is it?

"First Steps for SIDS" is a video contest and a outreach campaign to raise awareness and funds for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. By participating, you will create awareness and aid fundraising efforts for SIDS research, and you'll also have the chance to win a great prize.

How does it work?

Just upload, vote, and share videos of your child or grandchild's first steps or early walking.

Not only will you be making a difference to raise awareness about SIDS, you could also win a family trip to Disneyland! The videos with the highest votes will win prizes generously donated by Alaska Airlines, Microsoft, Marriott Hotels and kind individual donors. The campaign runs through January 1st 2019.
