  • Skagit Eagle Festival. Day trip alert! Throughout January, you can view wintering bald eagles around the Skagit River, with towns such as Concrete and Marblemount hosting story times, science activities and other kid fun.
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. March. Inspire your kids and give them a taste of history by joining Seattle's annual youth-led march from Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park to the Rainier Community Center in Seattle. 
  • Children’s Film Festival Seattle. Detox from Disney at this one-of-a-kind festival hosted by Northwest Film Forum, which screens more than 150 films from 50-plus countries, including such cool events as a pancake breakfast and film screening event.
