Join University of Washington students for a hands-on experience learning the basics of coding and electronics.
Explore how coding can make things happen, from turning on lights to making noise—no prior experience needed. Have fun while discovering the basics of how coding works!
You’ll have the chance to:
- Learn the basics of coding with drag-and drop blocks.
- Experiment with turning on colorful lights and creating simple sound effects
- Use your newly learned coding skills to assemble a piano!
- By the end of the session, you’ll have built and coded your own miniature piano!
Program presented in partnership with students and faculty at the University of Washington's Human Centered Design & Engineering school.
Registration is not required but recommended as space is limited.

This program is designed for 3rd - 5th graders and is ideal for coding beginners. Caregivers are welcome.
