Calendar/Event Details

Sat, May. 11 @ 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Life underwater isn’t easy for Sirena, a little mermaid who dreams of running and dancing. In this StoryBook version of Andersen’s classic, the audience decides whether Sirena should keep her legs or high-tail it back to the sea.

Focus: Keeping a Promise

About our Sensory-Friendly shows
Our sensory-friendly performances are specifically designed for individuals with autism, neurodiversity, Asperger syndrome, Down syndrome and other sensory processing disorders and special needs.

Have you passed up family theater because your child has different sensory needs? No more! StoryBook Theater, in partnership with Safeco Insurance Fund, is working to make theater accessible for children with developmental challenges and special needs.

In our sensory-friendly performances, we leave the house lights up a few levels higher than for a standard production, reduce the sound level, as well as offer a comfortable, judgment-free theater experience. Friendly, supportive staff and community volunteers minimize stress and offer whatever help is needed to facilitate your theater experience.
