Before engineers can create the newest video game, or build a rocket to Mars, they have to start with a design!
In this live, virtual program PacSci educators will lead participants through an exploration of how engineers use creativity and empathy to design solutions for everyday problems, like brushing your teeth, and for silly scenarios, like making a disguise for an octopus.
Then, participants can use their new design-thinking skills to imagine a thoughtful solution to a mystery problem and bring a design to life using your choice of drawing utensils and paper, or play doh. This event is free but registration is required.
Recommended Materials:
Science notebook or paper
