Take a mini escape

Explore a new or different corner of our region on a day trip. You get a refreshing change of scenery with minimal hassles and almost no packing.

  • Head north to Skagit Valley, where you might just spot Sasquatch (and have the best cinnamon roll of your life).
  • Explore Seattle’s hidden neighborhood gems. Ravenna and Shoreline make for great springtime adventures.
  • Escape to Vashon Island for mountain views and delicious bites.
  • Head to the coast and dig for your dinner! Our comprehensive clamming guide tells you everything you need to know to get started.
  • You can’t go wrong with the Olympic National Park. While the Lake Crescent waters might be a bit chilly, you can always warm up at the Sol Duc Hot Springs.
  • Make the trek to a kids’ paradise, otherwise known as the Great Wolf Lodge, for a day or weekend of water-filled fun. Don’t want to commit to a full weekend? Consider getting a day pass.
