The peonies are in bloom! Come join us for the 2021 Peony Festival on May 1 and 2, where we will be featuring various performances and activities in the Seattle Chinese Garden. This year we have three stunning types of peonies on sale from 10am to 4pm on both days.
Our performances are from noon to 3pm for each day. On Saturday, there will be a traditional Chinese painting presentation by George Jiang starting at noon, followed by a Qigong demonstration by Restita de Jesus from the Seattle Wushu Center, followed by live guzheng music brought to you by students from the Seattle Guzheng Academy. On Sunday, a live erhu performance will be brought to you by Michael Chan, along with a steel tongue drum performance by Julian Leung, and another live performance by the Seattle Guzheng Academy.
Security will open the gates at 9 am and close them at 5:30pm each day. Note that the usual $1.00 parking payment is required for those who are choosing to park on campus.
We hope to see you there!
