Sensory Friendly Day at Day Out with Thomas 2018

Calendar/Event Details

This year for the first time, the Northwest Railway Museum is offering a special Day Out With Thomas train designed for children with special sensory needs and their families. Additional time (main gate opens early at 8 am, early boarding, less crowded, etc) will be given to provide these families with a comfortable experience. To reserve a spot on the Sensory Friendly Day Out With Thomas train, email info@trainmuseum.org.

Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2018 is presented by Mattel and is a fun-filled event that provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends™ themed activities.  The tour, now in its 23rd year, will make 42 stops across the U.S. and Canada, and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers in 2018.  For two back-to-back weekends little engineers and their families are invited to take a 25-minute ride on their favorite engine, meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas & Friends fun with crafts, photo ops, and more. Children who attend Day Out With Thomas in 2018 will also receive a ‘Passport to Adventures’ booklet to track their journey at the event, along with a special prize upon completion.

Tickets for the Sensory Friendly train on Sunday, July 22 at 9:00 am are $26 plus tax for ages two and up. For more information and directions, contact the Northwest Railway Museum at 425.888.3030 or www.TrainMuseum.org.
