Do you like stories? Do you like games? Are you ready to have SUMM fun with stories, games with a bit of math involved? In this program, you will be shown how mathematics can be added into both our stories and games. Prepare to strategize, calculate risk and reward, and when to do something now rather than later, etc. Prepare to grip at the edge of your seats when you and your friends fate are decided by a few numbers, which you will come to familiarize yourselves with. Prepare to bond with others as you and friends solve problems together.
In this 5-session series, you will be learning to play Dungeons and Dragons. You will understand some of the mathematical concepts and skills used in D&D and games like Pathfinder, Monsters of the Week, etc. You will get a chance to play a fun game with others where you can role play as a different character and see how you can create narratives and challenges incorporating mathematics. You will ultimately learn how to tackle those challenges, learning problem solving and skills integral to mathematics. Join us to spark your love of math, through puzzles, strategy, teamwork, and the stories we weave.

- Week 1 - August 7 - 5:30-7:30pm: Basics and Probability in Tabletop Role Playing Games (TTRPGs)
- Week 2 - August 14 - 5:30-7:30pm: Puzzles and Problem Solving in TTRPGs
- Week 3 - August 21 - 5:30-7:30pm: Resource Management in TTRPGs
- Week 4 - August 28 - 5:30-7:30pm: Risks and Rewards in TTRPGs
- Week 5 - September 4 - 5:30-8pm: D&D and Mini Math Night - Bring a friend!
