Meet friendly animals

Got critter lovers in your crew? Visit some sweet animals to make your spring break memories.

  • Feed a capybara, spot free-roaming bison or even dive with sharks with these unusual animal encounters.
  • Cuddle up with baby animals and learn about daily farm life at these charming local spots
  • Meet the softest, friendliest alpacas in town — many of these farms will let you interact with and feed the animals.
  • Jam with jellyfish, gently touch an anemone and get to know the wildlife at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
  • The Washington State Spring Fair is on for 2026. It takes place over two weekends: Thursday–Sunday, April 10–12 and Thursday–Sunday, April 17–19.
  • The critters at Old McDebbie’s Farm range from goats to kangaroos. You can also reel in a trout from the farm’s private fishing pond. This spot is open Friday–Sunday during the spring.
